After completing his high school education at Bornova Anatolian High School, Dr. Mustafa Reha Okur completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at Yaşar University and received his Ph.D. from Yaşar University Business Administration program in 2019. He worked as a research assistant in the Department of Business Administration of the same university between 2013-2020. Before his current duty at the Izmir University of Economics, he taught at the Izmir University of Economics as a part-time lecturer for two semesters. During his doctoral studies, he was a visiting researcher at the University of Groningen for a year. In addition, he became one of the Risk Institute researchers between 2019-2022 with the research award he received from the Ohio State University Risk Institute. His area of expertise covers the applications of corporate governance, auditing, financial statement fraud, accounting fraud, and machine learning applications in the field of accounting and finance to develop effective, accountable, and transparent institutions at all levels. Although Dr. Mustafa Reha Okur has many academic studies in his field, he has worked as a coordinator and researcher in many European Union projects and projects supported by various national/international institutions.

After her graduation from Dokuz Eylül University in 1990, she had her master degree from İstanbul University in 1993. In 1998 she got her PhD degree from Dokuz Eylül University. Between 1991 and 2004 she worked as research assistant and assistant professor in Dokuz Eylül and Ege Universities. She had been continuing her studies in İzmir University of Economics since 2004.

Prof. Dr. Metehan Feridun Sorkun is a faculty member in the Department of Business Administration at İzmir University of Economics and conducts research in the areas of operations management, reverse logistics, and supply chain management. His work has been published in leading academic journals in his field, including International Journal of Operations & Production Management, Journal of Business Logistics, Industrial Marketing Management, and Waste Management.

In the 2009–2010 academic year, Prof. Dr. Sorkun graduated from the Department of Logistics Management at İzmir University of Economics as the top-ranked student of the university and simultaneously completed a double major program in International Trade and Finance.

In 2011, he was admitted to the joint PhD Program in Management offered by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, the University of Padova, and the University of Verona in Italy. During his doctoral studies, he spent six months as a visiting researcher at the University of Greenwich. He received his PhD in 2016 and, since 2017, has been working as a faculty member in the Department of Business Administration at İzmir University of Economics.

Prof. Dr. Sorkun is currently a visiting professor at Copenhagen Business School, where he continues his academic research.

She commenced her Bachelor's degree in the Department of Business Administration at Izmir University of Economics in 2012, having been awarded a full scholarship. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she completed internships at prominent international companies such as eBay Turkey (GittiGidiyor) and AkçanSA. Concurrently, as an inaugural fellow of the Turkish Entrepreneurship Foundation, she participated in various projects involving international collaborations, including partnerships with General Electric, under the guidance of Turkey's foremost entrepreneurs and business leaders. In 2016, she graduated with a "High Honor" degree. That same year, she was granted admission to the Integrated Doctoral Program at Izmir University of Economics, once again with a full scholarship. Beyza Gürel, currently a recipient of the TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) doctoral scholarship, continues her doctoral education in the field of accounting. Additionally, she serves as a research assistant in the same department from which she graduated.

Taylan Demirkaya completed his high school education from TED Ankara College in 1994. He then had his Business Administration undergraduate degree from Bilkent University in 1999. He has completed his MBA degree on finance from Başkent University in 2002 and he is doing his PHD on finance in Eylül University. Taylan has been a founder for two IT companies in Ankara after his graduation from Bilkent University. In 2003 he moved to İzmir as a research assistant in İzmir University of economics. In 2010 he became the director of Embryonix which is an incubator center for entrepreneurs. He had successfully helped 3 projects to become million dollar companies. Taylan has published two books as a co-author on entrepreneurship and is a host professional in internet media TV program which is broadcasted every Tuesday on Yeni Asır TV. He is also a professional blogger and a social media expert.

Coming from a dual background in engineering and management. Assoc.Prof. in management & organizations field. After studying engineering in Bilkent University, Tampere Institute of Technology (Finland), and Eastern Mediterranean University (Cyprus), I have worked as a software engineer in the industry developing ERP and industrial automation systems. After working in the U.S. during the dotcom boom, I have returned to the academia. I have received my PhD in Management and organizations field in 2009, and became an associate professor in the same field in 2014. I have assumed administrative posts in addition to teaching. Currently I am working on innovation management and strategy, structural and discourse analysis of business organizations, and business analytics fields. In addition to funded research, I work with industry firms and entrepreneurial organizations to keep my research in close touch with the field.

Semra Tunalı graduated from Ege University, Faculty of Engineering, Industrial Engineering Department in 1978. She received her MSc degree in Applied Statistics from Ege University, Institute of Electronic Computing in 1980. Upon her graduation, for a short duration she worked as a Production Control Engineer at ASMAS- Heavy Industrial Machinery Co. Inc. in Izmir, Turkey. She started her academic career as a Research Assistant at Ege University, Faculty of Administrative Sciences in 1980. She received her MBA degree from University of Missouri in St. Louis, U.S.A. in 1985. She continued her academic career in Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Engineering, Industrial Engineering Department. After receiving her Ph.D degree from Ege University, Department of Computer Sciences, she has been promoted to Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor in 1992, 1998 and 2004, respectively. Since 2010 she has been working as a Professor at Izmir University of Economics, Faculy of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration. During her academic career, she has been as a Visiting Fellow at GINTIC Institute of Manufacturing Technology in Singapore (1992-1994), Northwestern University in Chicago, USA, and Loyola University in Chicago, USA (200-2001).

Tuğba Örten Tuğrul graduted from Yeditepe University, Department of Business Administration as a valedictorian, where she had received a full undergarduate scholarship. She started her academic career as a Research Assistant at Izmir University of Economics, Faculty of Administrative Sciences in 2005. She was as a Visiting Fellow at University of Texas Pan-American, in Business College to conduct her dissertation studies in 2008. After receiving her Ph.D degree from Izmir University of Economics, Department of Business Administration, she has been promoted to Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in 2011 and 2016, respectively.

Nilgün Gürkaynak was born in Izmir in 1967. She is a graduate of Izmir American Collegiate Institute (’85). She holds a BBA degree from Boğaziçi University (’89), and an MBA from Dalhousie University (’91) and a PhD in marketing from Yeditepe Unviversity. She was a faculty member of marketing in Yeditepe University between 2000 and 2009; before that she worked for the Coca-Cola Company, GfK, Henkel-Turyağ and Izmir Pamuk Mensucatı. She also provided consultancy and training services for various firms from FMCG, banking, construction materials, real estate and communication sectors.She joined IUE in 2009 and since 2010 she is the Director of School of Applied Managerial Sciences. Her research interests include place marketing, marketing for SMEs, social media and local brands.

Şükrü Özen received his bachelor degree in business administration (BA), master degree in BA, master degree in public administration, and PhD degree in BA from Erciyes University, Middle East Technical University, Erasmus University, and Gazi University, respectively. He was a visiting scholar in Business School at University of Illinois in 2008, 2011 and 2012. Özen has worked for various universities and institutions throughout his career such as Erciyes University, Public Administration Institute for Turkey and the Middle East (TODAIE), Başkent University, and Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. His main research interests are organization theories, new institutional theory, cross-national diffusion of management knowledge, national business systems, inter-organizational relationships, corporate social responsibility and environmental conflicts between MNCs and local communities. He published in various international journals such as Organization Studies, Organization, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Ethics, Organization & Environment, European Management Review, and World Development. He also authored several chapters in edited books published by Routledge and Palgrave publishing. He also published in national journals such as Amme İdaresi Dergisi, Yönetim Araştırmaları Dergisi, Siyasal Bilgiler Fakültesi Dergisi, Akdeniz Üniversitesi İİBF Dergisi, and Yönetim ve Organizasyon Araştırmaları Dergisi.

Gizem Halil has completed her high school education in Özel Ege Lisesi. She studied Industrial Systems Engineering and Logistics Management (minor degree) at the Izmir University of Economics. During her education, she spent one semester in Hochschule Albstadt-Sigmaringen, Germany as an Erasmus exchange student. She worked as the material planning and the production planning engineer in Dalan Kimya Endüstri. In 2019 she graduated from the Masters of Business Administration program at Dokuz Eylül University. In the same year, she started the Business Administration Ph.D. program at the Izmir University of Economics. Since March 2018 she has been working as a research assistant at Izmir University of Economics, in the Business Administration Department.

Burcu Güneri Çangarlı completed her high school education in Afyon Science High School in 1999. She studied in the Department of Business Administration at Ege University where she received her bachelor's degree in 2004. In the same year, she applied to the Ph.D. program in business administration with a management major at the Izmir University of Economics. In the 2008-2009 academic year, she received a research scholarship from TUBİTAK and studied at Hanken University in Helsinki as a visiting Ph.D. student. In 2009, she received her Ph.D. degree with her thesis named “Mobbing, Power, and Politics in Organizations” and assigned as Asst. Prof. Dr. in the Department of Business Administration. In 2014 she was appointed as associate professor and in 2019 full professor. Prof. Dr. Burcu GUNERI CANGARLI published articles in reputable national and international journals and wrote books and book chapters published by national and international publishers. Her research area of interest includes health care management, workplace bullying, counterproductive work behaviors, leadership, ethics, and culture. She involved in many national and international projects and gave executive education about leadership, ethics, strategy, and motivation. She is looking for ways for education, projects, and academic studies that are more productive and effective and for a working life where the individuals can realize their potential. Burcu GÜNERİ ÇANGARLI, who was the Head of Business Administration between 2017-2020, has been the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration of Izmir University of Economics since 2020. Burcu Guneri CANGARLI is married and is the mother of twins.

After graduating at METU Economics department, I have started and completed the PhD programme in Economics at University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I have been to Universidad de San Andres in Buenos Aires and to London School of Economics in London as a visiting scholar.

Dr. Değer Eryar received his Ph. D in economics from University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2009, after obtaining his BA degree in economics from Boğaziçi University. He examined how financial globalization affected real investment and shaped macroeconomic policies in Turkey. His recent areas of interest consist of labor markets, financial crises, and economic policies in the European Union. Dr. Eryar also serves in the executive board of European Research and Application Center at our university.

After receiving her B.Sc. degree in Economics from Middle East Technical University, Gül Ertan Özgüzer obtained her MA degree in Financial Economics from Izmir University of Economics and her PhD degree in Economics from Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium. Her research fields are international macroeconomics, dynamic general equilibrium modelling and Turkey's integration to the European Union.

Hakan Yetkiner, Professor of Economics, received his B.A. in Management from Middle East Technical University (METU) in 1989. He holds two master degrees: M.S. in Economics from METU, and M.Sc. in Economics from London School of Economics. Professor Yetkiner was also awarded two doctorate level degrees in Economics, from METU and from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. After graduation, he spent two years at Hamburg University as a post-doctoral researcher. Since September 2004, he has been affiliated with Department of Economics at Izmir University of Economics. In addition to one textbook and three edited books, Professor Yetkiner has published a wide range of articles in national and international journals. Professor Yetkiner is the only economist in the whole Aegean region that is ranked in the top 10 among Turkish economists in REPEC statistics. Since appointment to his present post, Professor Yetkiner has played a leading role in the organization of over 15 conferences, at both national and international level.

Prof. Ayla Ogus Binatlı received her undergraduate degree from Boğaziçi University and attended University of Alberta and Boston College for graduate studies. She earned her PhD from Boston College in 1999. She worked in the USA as an assistant professor for two years and joined the Department of Economics of Izmir University of Economics in 2002. Oğuş Binatlı's research centers on international economics and applied econometrics and she has published in several renowned international journals. She has chaired the department since 2009.

Dr. Küçüközmen has started his official career at the Central Bank of Turkey in 1986. He was granted Jean Monnet study-award and received his MSc degree on European Economics and Finance from Loughborough University, UK in 1995. He wrote his thesis on deposit insurance. He then worked for the Deposit Insurance Department at the Central Bank of Turkey during 1996-1997. He was granted a scholarship from the Central Bank covering a two-year research in 1997. He conducted his doctoral research at the University of Exeter. He wrote his thesis on the “Distribution of Equity Returns and Implications for Value-at-Risk (VaR)” and awarded a PhD degree in 2000. He ran a banking course in the MBA program of Exeter University during his research. Upon completing his research, he joined to the BRSA the supervisory body for the Turkish banking system in 2000, shortly after its establishment and worked there as a deputy head of department of risk management. Dr Küçüközmen also taught at the FSI of BIS between 2002 and 2009. After returning to his position in the Central Bank of Turkey, he then received the title of associate professor from the Inter-University Council, which led him to academic life after 2010. He taught as a part-time lecturer at the Financial Mathematics Department of the Institute of Applied Mathematics in Middle East Technical University, Ankara between 2001 and 2012. He also taught graduate courses in Real Estate Development at Ankara University, Faculty of Science, between 2009 and 2010. Currently, Prof. Dr. Küçüközmen is a full time lecturer at the Faculty of Business of Izmir University of Economics. He is the founding member and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aegean Finance Association. His interests include non-financial sector risk management, risk management through data visualization, Basel-III, large data and graphic data mining, sovereign wealth funds and private equity funds, e-commerce and international business strategies.

Birce Tedik Kocakaya graduated from Hacettepe University Business Administration Department in 2019 with a 3.83 GPA. She worked as a tax assistant in an audit company for about one year. She is studying for a Master's degree in Accounting & Finance at Dokuz Eylul University.

Gülin Vardar completed her undergraduate work in the Faculty of Architecture and Department of City and Regional Planning in 2002. During her undergraduate years, she participated in many projects in the field of urbanism in Turkey and abroad. She had worked as a financial consultant in a company and in the finance department of a private company. She had received her MBA degree from Izmir University of Economics in 2005. In the same year, Vardar started her PhD degree at İzmir University of Economics and was appointed as research assistant at the International Trade and Finance Department of the same university. During her PhD, she went to the University of Texas at Dallas as a "Visiting Researcher", where she had done doctoral research with a scholarship from TUBITAK. Vardar has successfully completed her Ph.D. and was awarded the title of Doctor of Philosophy in the Department of Business Administration majoring in the field of finance, with a thesis entitled "Risk Measurements and Efficiency Analysis for Public Banks on Central and Eastern European Stock Market Markets" in 2010. Vardar had become an assistant professor in 2012 and awarded the title of associate professor by the Interuniversity Council in 2015. She is currently Head of Department of International Trade and Finance at Izmir University of Economics. Assoc. Prof. Gülin Vardar has many articles in the fields of financial markets and banking, and book chapters within the textbooks, on both national and international levels.

Birce Dobrucalı completed her high school education in İzmir Bornova Anadolu High School. She studied International Trade and Finance in Izmir University of Economics where she received her bachelor’s degree as honor student. She began to work as research assistant at the department of International Trade and Finance in December 2015. Ms. Dobrucalı received her MSc in Logistics Management degree in 2016. In 2021, Ms. Dobrucalı received her Ph.D. degree in Business Administration from Dokuz Eylul University.

Berna Aydoğan completed her high school education with a high honor degree in Selma Yiğitalp Süper Lisesi, in 1999. Berna Aydoğan attended Ege University, where she received a B.A. Degree in Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 2004 in Izmir-Turkey. During 2001-2004, she received a Scholarship of Achievement from Koç Holding. She completed the University as the 3rd student in Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and the 2nd student in the Business Administration Department. She got a Ph.D. Degree from the Department of Business Administration in a major field of finance at Izmir University of Economics in 2010. Aydoğan, who became Assistant Professor in 2012, Associate Professor in 2017 and Professor in 2022, still continues to work in the Department of International Trade and Finance. Her research is focused on financial and derivatives markets. Her academic papers have been published in international and national journals.

Dr. Öznur Yurt received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Başkent University in 2001. During 2001-2003, she worked at Akbank T.A.Ş. Ankara Office as Management Trainee. In 2004, Yurt was awarded the Ankara University MBA with a specialization in marketing. Yurt also holds a Masters Degree in Logistics, awarded in 2005 by Izmir University of Economics where she began working as a Research Assistant in 2003. She also received her PhD degree from the same university in 2007, with a dissertation on “Service supply chain orientation’s impact on industrial service quality” and has since conducted her post doctoral research at The Supply Chain Research Center of Cranfield University in the UK. Her research interests include distribution channels management, services supply chains, purchasing management and industrial marketing management. She continues her academic work at University of Roehampton/London.

Bengü Sevil OFLAÇ received her bachelor’s degree from Izmir Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 2003.After getting her MA in marketing from Izmir Dokuz Eylül University ( 2006), she took a scholarship from Izmir University of Economics and became a Phd candidate in Business Administration with Logistics Management major. She took TUBITAK BIDEB scholarship and became a visiting researcher at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, USA in 2009. She received her PhD degree from Izmir University of Economics in 2011 and was assigned as a Asst. Prof. Dr. in the Department of Logistics Management in 2012.

Assoc. Prof. Muhittin Hakan Demir after receiving his Bachelor's degree in Department of Industrial Engineering in Bilkent University in 1992, pursued his Master's in the same university and the department in 1994. He continued for Ph.D. at the same university and graduated in 2001. Mr. Demir worked at Vestel A.Ş. as an investment speacialist and then Teba Günkol A.Ş. and Yaşar Holding as a team leader. In 2008, he became an Assistant Professor in İzmir University of Economics, Department of Logistics Management. Since 2009, he is also the head of the Department of Logistics Management. His research interest is mostly on supply chain management, logistics and facility location.

Aysu Göçer received her Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Bilkent University, Turkey, in 1999. She has 9 years of professional experience at different sectors and several positions, both in local companies and multinationals. Her main expertise is on purchasing and planning activities of logistics and supply chain management. Most of her working career has developed at Japan Tobacco International, located in Izmir, Turkey. She has completed her Masters degree in Department of Logistics at Izmir University of Economics in December 2010, and her PhD in Business Administration at Dokuz Eylul University in April 2015. She received the title of Associate Professor in November 2020. She is now working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Logistics Management at Izmir University of Economics. Her interest areas include supply chain management, procurement management, global business models, risk management and sustainability.

She graduated from Izmir Ataturk High School in 2001. She received her B.A. degree in Business Administration from Dokuz Eylul University in 2005, and started to work for Izmir University of Economics as a research assistant the same year. After receiving Master of Logistics Management degree from Izmir University of Economics in 2007, she started her PhD in the Department of Business Administration, in a major field of logistics at the same institution. She has taken scholarship for her masters and doctoral studies. During her PhD studies, she was a visiting scholar at Cranfield University (UK), School of Management- Supply Chain Research Centre in 2008. Since 2009, she worked as an instructor in the department of Logistics Management, teaching mainly supply chain management (retail track), principles of logistics and strategic logistics management. As part of post-doctoral research, she was at University of Bremen (Germany) logistics management department in 2014 and 2015. Currently, she is working as an Associate Professor at the department. Her research is focused on supply chain management, retail logistics and retail marketing.

Özgür Özpeynirci received his B.S., M.S. and PhD. degrees in Industrial Engineering from Middle East Technical University in 2002, 2004 and 2008, respectively. He worked as a researcher at the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) between years 2001 and 2007. In February 2008, he joined Izmir University of Economics as an assistant professor. His research interests include multiobjective decision making, combinatorial optimization and scheduling. He received the Best Doctoral Dissertation Award of the International Society on Multiple Criteria Decision Making, in 2011. His publications appeared in international journals including Management Science, European Journal of Operational Research, Naval Research Logistics, and Journal of the Operational Research Society.

Sinem Tokcaer is an assistant professor in the Logistics Management Department at Izmir University of Economics. After earning her PhD in business administration from the Izmir University of Economics, she completed her postdoctoral research at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. She has six years of professional experience in a variety of roles, both with regional companies that offer international logistics services. With a focus on mathematical modeling and data analytics, her primary area of expertise is the design and analysis of logistics systems. She is also a co-founder of a start-up that offers a decision support system for long-haul logistics service providers.

Sitki Egeli holds degrees from Bosphorus University (BA, Political Science), University of Chicago (MA, Security Studies), and Bilkent University (PhD, International Relations. Beginning his professional career in US, in 1991 he has joined Turkey’s Undersecretariat for Defense Industries (SSM) where he eventually became the Director for International Affairs. Between 2000 and 2015, he held senior executive position in an international consulting firm. Since 2015, he has been teaching international relations and international security courses at Izmir University of Economics. He has published several books, articles and papers on proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their delivery means, air and missile defense, nuclear deterrence, air power, space security, international arms trade, and export controls.

Upon completion of his BA at Bilkent University, he acquired MA degrees in history and political science from Uppsala University. He received his PhD in political science from Istanbul Bilgi University. In his doctoral dissertation he discussed the relationship between constitutionalism and democracy by thinking through the case of Turkey. He continues to study in the field of normative democratic theory. He has publications on topics such as; epistemic democracy, majoritarianism and epistocracy. Alongside democratic theory, his research interests include contemporary liberal theory and philosophy of social sciences. He is currently working on a book about Kant and neo-Kantian political philosophy.

Devrim Sezer is Associate Professor of Political Thought. He started his university education in the Department of Physics at Boğaziçi University. He was then educated at Middle East Technical University, where he received a BS in Economics and an MS in Political Science, and at London School of Economics and Political Science, where he received an MSc in Political Theory. He completed his PhD at Carleton University. His research interests include modern and contemporary political theory, theories of democracy and republicanism, and politics of memory. His articles have appeared in Memory Studies, History of Political Thought, History of European Ideas, S:I.M.O.N. Shoah: Intervention. Methods. Documentation., Toplum ve Bilim, Felsefi Düşün, Birikim, Cogito and felsefelogos, and he has contributed chapters to edited books. He has been the co-editor of two books (both in Turkish): Siyasalın Peşinde: Dünyaya Tragedyalarla Bakmak (with Nazile Kalaycı; Metis, 2017) and a Festschrift, Hasan Ünal Nalbantoğlu’na Armağan (with Adile Arslan; İletişim, 2008). He has co-translated Hannah Arendt's posthumously published work Lectures on Kant's Political Philosophy (ed. Ronald Beiner) (with İsmail Ilgar, ed. Serdar Tekin, İletişim, 2019). He is an alumnus of the Vienna Wiesenthal Institute for Holocaust Studies where he has been a Research Fellow.

Born in 1966 in Izmir, Prof. Murat BOROVALI graduated from Saint Joseph Middle School in 1981, Izmir Ataturk High School in 1984, and received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Boğaziçi University in 1989. Borovalı received his Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Manchester in 1992, and his Ph.D. in Political Science from the same university in 1998. Prof. Murat Borovalı started his academic career as an Assistant Professor at Department of International Relations, Istanbul Bilgi University in 2000. After conducting studies on Political Theory, Borovalı was promoted to Associate Professor in 2009, and Professor in 2015. Among positions held during his tenure at Istanbul Bilgi University were Head of Department of International Relations, and Vice Rector in charge of Financial and Administrative Affairs. Borovalı was also appointed as the Acting Rector in 2016-2017 academic year. Borovalı, a Member of the Executive Board of the Turkish Political Science Association, was appointed as a Consultant to the Board of Trustees at Izmir University of Economics as of September 2018.

Adisonmez is Assistant Professor at the Political Science and International Relations Department of Izmir University of Economics. He received his PhD in International Relations from the University of Kent, UK. Prior to joining Izmir University of Economics, he worked as Visiting Lecturer at City, University of London (2019-2021) and Assistant Lecturer at University of Kent (2017-2021). He was awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Research Scholarship (2017-2020) to pursue his PhD project. Previously, Adisonmez was awarded Lund University Global Scholarship (2016-2017) during his MA programme in Global Studies at Lund University. He received his BA in International Relations from Bilkent University. Adisonmez’s main research areas are emotions in IR; political psychology; ethnicity and identity; conflict analysis; and Middle Eastern politics. His works have been published in various edited volumes and international peer-reviewed journals such as Political Psychology, Southeast European and Black Sea Studies, Alternatives: Global, Local, Political, Middle East Critique, Uluslararası İlişkiler/International Relations and Asian Politics & Policy. He is an editorial board member of Alternatives: Global, Local, Political journal.

Having graduated from Beşiktaş Anatolian High School in 2013, Batıkan Bulut obtained his bachelor’s degree from Marmara University Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Political Science and International Relations as an honor student in 2018. He obtained his master’s degree in the Atatürk Institute for Modern Turkish History at Boğaziçi University with the thesis entitled "Diyanet in the Transnational Field: DİTİB in Germany in the 1980s" in 2020. Batıkan is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Bilkent University, Department of Political Science. His academic interests are diaspora politics, international migration, identity politics, Turkish politics, and social cohesion policies.

Nil Dikmengil, after graduating from Kadıkoy Anatolian Highschool in 2010, obtained hers bachelor's degree from University of Galatasaray, Department of International Relations. In 2018, she obtained her Master's degree in the University Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, in International Management, Legislation and Society Program. She is currently pursuing doctorate degree at the University of Marmara, Department of International Relations. Her academic interests include global governance and global civil society.

Cigdem Kentmen-Cin received her bachelor's degree from Istanbul University, Department of International Relations in 1999. She received her master's degree in the European Studies program at Bahcesehir University, where she also worked as a research assistant, in 2002. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Political Science from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 2007. In the same year, she started working as an Assistant Professor at Izmir University of Economics. She was promoted to Associate Professor in 2012 and to Professor in 2018. She was awarded the Outstanding Young Scientist Award (GEBIP) in the field of political science by the Turkish Academy of Sciences in 2014. Dr. Kentmen Çin's research areas include public opinion, survey methodology, and voter behavior. Her publications can be found in leading academic journals such as Political Research Quarterly, JCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies, European Union Politics, Social Science Quarterly, Journal of European Social Policy, and Environment & Behavior. She has been a member of the editorial board of the journal European Union Politics since 2011. She also serves as the work package leader and senior researcher in the project titled RAISE (Recognition and Acknowledgement of Injustice to Strengthen Equality), funded by Horizon Europe. From 2018 to 2024, she served as the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at Izmir University of Economics.

After receiving her B.A. degree in Sociology from Middle East Technical University, Prof. Dr. Filiz Başkan obtained her M.A. and Ph.D. Degrees from Bilkent University Department of Political Science and Public Administration. She carried out her post-doctoral research in European University Institute- Robert Schuman Center for Advanced Studies between September 2000 and June 2001. Dr. Başkan, whose resarch areas are Islamic communities, Islamic parties, Islamic capital and extremist right parties, has published in national and international journals such as Middle Eastern Studies, Turkish Studies, Journal of Balkan and Near Eastern Studies, South European Society and Politics.

I hold BA degrees in Economics and International Relations from Izmir University of Economics. I completed my MA in political science at Marshall University (USA) in 2009. I got my PhD from University of Utah (USA) in 2015. I was a visiting scholar and a lecturer at Ohio State University during the 2022-23 academic year. My research focuses on ethnicity, nationalism and security studies within a comparative perspective. My primary geographical focus is on the Kurdish Middle East and Turkey.
