Internship Acceptance Requirements
FACULTY OF BUSINESS INTERNSHIP RULES AND PROCESS
The internship rules and procedures to be followed by students who will complete their internship within the Faculty of Business are outlined below. Students can find detailed information about the steps to be followed and the rules to be observed throughout the internship process—from the application stage to the completion of the internship—in the explanations provided below.
- Compulsory Internships
- Students are required to complete their compulsory internship for 20 consecutive working days, either during the summer term or the semester break.
- Completing the compulsory internship during the academic semester is not permitted. Students undertaking their compulsory internship during the summer term are not allowed to take summer school courses simultaneously.
- For students participating in long-term internships, the first 20 working days may be counted as the compulsory internship. Students must submit their internship reports within 10 working days after completing the internship.
- Students who wish to undertake a long-term internship during the summer term may complete both their compulsory and voluntary internships consecutively, provided that they enter them separately into the system and ensure that the dates do not overlap.
- Insurance: Occupational accident and professional liability insurance for compulsory internships is covered by the University.
- Application Deadline: Applications for compulsory internships must be submitted at least 15 days before the internship start date.
- Voluntary Internships
- Students may perform voluntary internships during the academic semester with the approval of internship coordinators, provided that their weekly course schedule includes at least two full days without classes.
- Insurance: Occupational accident and professional liability insurance for voluntary internships is also covered by the University.
- Application Period: The initial application period for voluntary internships is limited to 20 weeks. If the internship duration exceeds 20 weeks, a new application must be submitted at least 15 days before the start of the extension period.
